April 10th, 2026 – Queens Neighborhood
Furthest Sounds – Planes overhead, cars in the distance driving past, people arguing out on the sidewalk
Medium Sounds – Tripod click, lights humming overhead, neighbors upstairs running and yelling
Closest Sounds – Actors running lines, slate clicking, oven beeping
Sound levels were quite loud overall, the house echoes relatively heavily and everything is relatively close by

April 10th, 2026 – McDonald’s
Furthest sounds are coming from the kitchen (voices of the workers, machines beeping, general clatter)
Medium sounds are coming from other tables (other patrons eating and talking, kids screaming)
Closest sounds are coming from my own table (my friend talking to me, the sound of his food wrappers)
The sound level was quite high when we first got there, lowered a bit by the time we were done eating.
Busy
People talking, the machines in the kitchen beeping, kids screaming.

1 – April 9th, 10am, Hofstra Museum of Art
2 – Furthest away sounds is far away conversations of the workers at the desk, the opening and closing of the main door, and the air conditioning
3 – Medium sounds are the footsteps of people browsing, someone reading aloud to themselves a plaque, one of the workers wrapping a table in some sort of paper for a presentation
4 – Closest is the talking of the tour guide showing off a book, the oohs and ahs of people watching, and my own flip flopped footsteps.
5 – The sound level is very low, it’s a very quiet place that only has one or two sounds going on at a time

7 – 3 essential sounds are footsteps, air conditioning, and the tour guide speaking
