Journal Entry #5

– April 9th, 10am, Hofstra Museum of Art

– Furthest away sounds is far away conversations of the workers at the desk, the opening and closing of the main door, and the air conditioning

– Medium sounds are the footsteps of people browsing, someone reading aloud to themselves a plaque, one of the workers wrapping a table in some sort of paper for a presentation

– Closest is the talking of the tour guide showing off a book, the oohs and ahs of people watching, and my own flip flopped footsteps.

– The sound level is very low, it’s a very quiet place that only has one or two sounds going on at a time

– Respectful

– 3 essential sounds are footsteps, air conditioning, and the tour guide speaking
