  1. 02/09/2023 – 4:22 PM – Emily Lowe Hall Drounge
  2. Far away: People talking in a classroom, a small beep, the sound of an air conditioner
  3. Medium: Footsteps (some going further and some coming closer), the entrance door slamming, a classroom door being shut
  4. Closest: The sound of me breathing due to congestion, someone taking a sip of their drink, typing, someone chewing
  5. The sound level started out quite loud, but it has now gone down to barely any sounds that aren’t the ones mentioned in #4. This is the same regarding the sound activity. Originally, it began with hearing #2 and #3 together, and those sounds faded away, which led me to hear #4. Therefore, the sound activity went from high to low.
  6. Descriptor: Bustling
  7. The essential sounds are: the faraway sound of people talking in a classroom, the sound of footsteps, and the sound of the entry door slamming.

Farthest Sounds: Dance class stomping on the floor, muffled people talking outside the door. Quiet hum of an air conditioner.

Medium Distance Sounds: People entering and exiting the main door, A professor speaking to a class from Lowe 106. The typing of keys from the office. The printer is occasionally being used to print or copy papers.

Closest Sounds: People talking in the drounge and psibrary. The sounds of people writing as they fill out forms and other papers.

General Sound Level: Slightly Quiet

Room Definition: Office-Like

Essential Sounds: Typing of keys, the printer, and people filling out forms.

  2. Far sounds: doors closing, footsteps coming down the stairs, people talking loudly in the Psybrary

  4. Closest sounds: my breathing, knuckles cracking, shoes shuffling
  5. Sound level: Medium loud. The conversation in the drounge can be pretty loud, but for the time of day it wasn’t too bad

  7. Key sounds: people talking in the psybrary, people talking around me in the drounge, and knuckles cracking

Time/Location: 2-24-15, 8:30pm, Complete Works Rehearsal break time

Far sounds: people talking in drounge, Lowe main door closing

Medium sounds: Ali and Lisa talking, Tunisia and Heidi talking, Caitlin walking around

Close sounds: me eating my apple, my nose sniffling because I’m sick

Overall sound level: medium
