Journal Entry #1

2/5/26, 10:30pm, Hofstra Information Center

Furthest sounds: the cars driving outside, the siren of the passerby ambulance, the opening and closing of the sliding door to the outside world

Medium sounds: My coworkers conversing, their phone ringing, the persona. few desks away scrolling reels on their phone.

Closest sounds: The phone ringing, the voice of the people talking on said phone, my keyboard clacking, the creaking of my chair

Sound level: medium, nothing is too loud, and it does have it’s moments of silence, but there is always some sound going on and the office phone is loud enough next to me to awake me from my stupors and make me do my job.

One word description: tiring

3 essential sounds: the ringing phone, the voices of the callers, and my coworkers chatting.
