Location and Date: Crossing California Avenue, around 11:00am on March 1st

Sounds Heard: Beeping of a construction truck, my own footsteps on the concrete, cars screeching to a stop or simply driving by, the doors of Monroe opening and people starting to talk

  2. Farthest- a large flame from food being cooked, a movie playing on a large screen

Medium: My engine, weird and unexplained sounds of my car, tires splashing through puddles
Closest: Rain on my windshield, windshield wipers, music on the radio

1.   2/28/18 on the Northern State at 5:00

2. Honking, hip hop music, “F$@^ You!!!!”-Evil soccer mom

3. The sound of the road as my mom drives, the radio blasting Demi Lovato, the blinker indicators, the engine revving.

4. The wind rushing through the open windows, the beat of my heart.

5. Minimal sound activity. This was a challenge for myself to see what I could tune into in a non stationary environment. I feel like next time, I should stick with stationary environments.

Sounds: Washing machines are whirring and dryers are spinning away

  2. Far sounds: doors closing, footsteps coming down the stairs, people talking loudly in the Psybrary
  3. Closer sounds: backpacks moving, people walking in the halls, people conversing around me ion the drounge
  4. Closest sounds: my breathing, knuckles cracking, shoes shuffling
  5. Sound level: Medium loud. The conversation in the drounge can be pretty loud, but for the time of day it wasn’t too bad
  6. Description: hectic
  7. Key sounds: people talking in the psybrary, people talking around me in the drounge, and knuckles cracking

2- door opening and closing, voices echoing in the audience, creaking of wood
3- chatter and brooms hitting the ground, a hollow sound of something hitting wood
4- my breathing, the hum of the tv, the white noise of a radio

5- lots of movement distanced and spread out through space, it’s medium to loud volume- fluctuation
