  2. Far sounds: doors slamming in the hall way, voices in the next room over
  3. Closer sounds: laptop playing Africa by Toto, drawers shutting, slicing of the X-acto knife
  4. Closest sounds: me hyperventilating, squeaking of my shoes against the desk
  5. Sound level: mostly quiet, some loud noise here and there
  6. Description: stressful
  7. Essential sounds: voices in the next room, laptop playing music, my rapid breathing

1- March 1st – 1:24pm – The pasta station in the student center
2- Farthest- People talking in the sitting area, Beeps at the checkout station, numbers of orders being called
3- Medium- Music, the sizzle of pasta being cooked, someone ordering food, beeps of timers, workers restocking food
4- Closest- Me drinking coffee, someone searching through their keys, friends talking, my pasta being handed to me
5- Sound level- loud    Activity- there is a lot going on, lots of movement

1) Student Center Bookstore, 4:45 pm, 2/14/18

2) Farthest- People talking and walking over the Unispan, people talking in the lower level of the bookstore, someone playing music somewhere inside the student center

3)Medium- The cashier helping someone at the desk, lots of talking and laughing from the tables set up right outside the bookstore

4) Closest- Two people talking to each other next to me, my stomach growling, my breathing, a shirt falling off the hanger I was holding

5) Sound level- very high, intense and exciting because it was valentines day

6) Word- Active

7) Three sounds- music playing, people talking and laughter outside the bookstore

Looking for Mascara in Sephora

Location: Sephora in Roosevelt Field, 2/13/18 around 4 pm

Description: Sephora was pretty busy today, and a lot of talking can be heard, such as a saleswoman describing a mattifying foundation. Additionally, there’s pop music playing in the background. The talking and the music dominate the clip.
