Location: My room, Hempstead
Sounds heard: typing on a laptop, clicking of mouse, swiping of mouse pad, rustling of blanket, breathing.
Date: February 10th, 2022
Location & Time: The Drounge, 2:03pm
Far sounds: A female-sounding voice is singing in their MUTH class. The song might be “Come to Your Senses” from tick, tick…boom! There are cheers, laughter, and piano coming from that room.
Medium sounds: Footsteps going up and down stairs, doors opening and closing in Lowe.
Close sounds: people typing on keyboards, soft humming, costume carts rolling through the hall.
Sound description/level: Low, quiet but not library quiet. Good volume for getting work done in peace.
One word for the “sound environment”: mellow
Important sounds: distant singing, typing on a keyboard, humming
April 17 – Movie Night
Sounds heard: Family Talking, Movie Playing, Typing on a keyboard
Location: My Bedroom
Sounds In Clip: Noise coming from the television; Typing on a keyboard; Me laughing and groaning
Location: Leaving my room and heading downstairs
Sounds In Clip: A song being played; Typing on a keyboard; Sniffing; Footsteps; A light switch being turned from ON to OFF; A stapler being pressed down; A door opening and closing
1. Date: 4/3/20 – Time: 3:00pm – Location: My Bedroom
2. Farthest away from me, I can hear noises coming from the television downstairs and my mother laughing. I can hear my little sister as she is constantly laughing too.
3. In a medium range, I hear cars driving past my house outside and noises coming from the television in my bedroom. I also hear music coming from my portable speaker.
4. Closest to me, I hear my fingers typing on my keyboard and air being blown out of my laptop. Internally, I can hear words of encouragement as I am working on an assignment.
5. The general sound level is rather noisy than quiet due to a good amount of sound activity being present.
6. One word to describe the “sound environment” is “tranquil”.
7. Three sounds that are essential to the “sound environment” are the sounds coming from the television in my bedroom, the sounds of music coming from my speaker, and my sister laughing downstairs.

Farthest Sound- A large truck backing up, cars going by, and rain
Medium Distance- My roommates talking about classes and random chatter
Closest sound- my own typing on my computer, the squeaking of my bed as I shift to make myself more conformable
General sound Level- mostly quiet with slight noise spiking every now and then.
Sound Description- busy and yet calming
Important sounds- roommates voices, rain, keyboard, cars going by

Farthest: People talking in the kitchen, the elevator door “ding-ing”
Medium: Air vent running, a girl writing in a notebook
Closest: Music playing in my headphones, me typing
Level: Quiet

Important sounds: Typing, the elevator “ding-ing”, people talking in the kitchen
Location: Logan Airport, Terminal C, 5:25pm
Sounds: people talking, people walking by, music playing, suitcases rolling, typing on a computer

- Far sounds: typing on the computers, footsteps leaving and entering the room
- Closer sounds: hushed murmuring, squeaking of spinning chairs
- Closest sounds: Mackenzie talking to me, her phone playing a video
- Sounds level/ amount: Overall kinda quiet. Mackenzie was a bit louder than the other surroundings, as per usual. 🙂
