Waiting at the Airport

  1. 2/22/17 @ 8:20AM, Boston Logan International Airport
  2. Farthest-An espresso machine at work, workers talking in a kitchen, quiet chatter all around, a bag falling, music and announcements overhead, a buzz of planes passing by.
  3. Medium-Someone zipping a bag, the crunch of plastic bags from people’s breakfasts, a man talking on the phone, someone flipping through a magazine, footsteps on the hard floored path (I can’t tell what it’s made out of), the beep of the ticket checking machine.
  4. Close-Women talking in a quiet voice, the lady behind me flipping the pages of a book, the sound of me typing, the sound of air being pushed out of the cushion when a man sat down, coughing
  5. The sound level is low, even though there is arguably a moderate amount of sound activity, most of it is low and for some reason does not echo well
  6. Sound Environment-‘Subdued’
  7. Most Essential-chatter all around, buzz of planes, music and announcements.
