Far sounds: someone walking towards the Spiegel, Spiegel door open/close, someone walking in back of Spiegel

Medium sounds: heating vent, clicking of Tia’s laptop, Jack R. moving in his seat, squeaking chairs, Drew humming

Close sounds: Tia arguing about the annexation of Hawaii, Jack and Drew replying to Tia, Jack reading something out loud from Twitter

  2. Farthest- Sound of running, people yelling/cheering, wind, music from the softball tournament next door

Sound Journal

  1. 3/15/17, around 9 PM, walking around campus
  2. Farthest sound: a dog’s bark is echoing, presumably a dog on Lawrence St. It’s hard to tell if there are two dogs having a conversation or if it’s just one dog barking at itself.
  3. Medium: Hofstra shuttle driving around, the engine making a loud humming noise. The big wind blowing the trees around and smacking my face.
  4. Closest: Music coming from one of my earbuds.
  5. Noisy, but everything is very flat sounding. The world sounds 2-Dimensional if that makes sense.
