the children walking in the hallway near my classroom, the teachers talking at their desk, the wind/sleet outside

the smart board playing the kids next movement song, the clinking of wooden blocks together, children talking to one another

one student crying, one student showing me how they can break crayons, the scribbling of the crayons at the table

Can My Neighbor Please Shut Off His Alarm

Location: Room 707 in Vander Poel, 8:45 am 3/13/18

Farthest: Snow being removed outside, wind blowing

Medium: Elevator dinging, the shower in the men’s bathroom running

Closest: My roommate snoring and my neighbor’s god awful and super loud alarm that woke me up and that did NOT need to be so intense on a snow day of all days

Costume shop: 3/11/2018 5:30PM

Farthest: The washing machines are running in the background, the dryers are tossing the shirts round and round.

Medium: The pushing and pulling of hangers make a sharp squeaking noise as they are moved, and distant conversations that sound like mumbling.

Closest: More conversations about studying abroad and making schedules, footsteps of people walking by me, and the opening and closing of drawers.

The general sound level is at a medium, with the occasional burst of sound from escalating conversations.

Three main sounds: The washer/dryer, the gossip, and the clanging/ screeching of hangers.
