far sounds: footsteps in the other room, a car driving by outside

close sounds: my house mates talking, footsteps of someone walking next to me, something clanking on the coffee table

medium sounds: the tv playing different clips of shows as my house mate scrolls through Netflix, someone getting up and opening the front door, the door closing, someone putting dishes away in the kitchen, the door being unlocked and locked

important sounds: dishes being put away in the kitchen, my house mates voices, the sound of the different shows on the tv

sound description: noisy, loud, lots of overlapping voices and sounds

one word: lively

time: 3:30 pm

far sounds: crow making noise and birds chirping

close sounds: car trying to start and yelling

medium sounds, trucks passing by

important sounds: crow and birds making noise

sound description: uneasy but wary

one word: spooky

Date: April 3rd, 2022

Location and Time: the women’s dressing room in the basement of the Adams Playhouse, 2:34pm

Far Sounds: someone running down the hall in heavy boots, someone running the sink in the adjoining bathroom, a voice passing by the door

Medium Sounds: people on the other side of the room talking, someones phone playing low music on the other side of the room, hangers scraping against the metal of the clothing rack as someone moves costumes around, a shoe hitting the floor on the other side of the room from someone taking it off

Close Sounds: the monitor right overhead playing the show, the person next to me scraping their chair against the floor, someone close to me spraying hairspray, noises coming from the phone of the person next to me as they play a game

Sound Description/Level: sounds slightly restless, the noises of people getting ready and waiting around, the general ambiance of being back stage at a show in the routine of performing

One Word: restless

Most Important Sounds: the monitor playing the show, the sounds coming from the phone next to me, people talking on the other side of the room

Far Sounds: Cars on the turnpike, the wind, someone cooking in the kitchen

Medium Sounds: Someone moving about upstairs, the oven timer

Close Sounds: A car idling in the driveway, the front door closing, my own typing, a bird outside

Sound Description/ Level: Low, relatively quiet

One Word: calm

Most Important Sounds: The oven timer, the birds singing outside, the car idling outside

Car accident (it actually happened I was looking at the window and a car crashed with a taxi).

Professors in the different classes yelling, giving corrections
