Field recording #2

This was recorded at the ceramic studio – you can hear the hum of the kiln room fan in the background, a bucket being slid across the floor, my hand hitting the doorknob, my footsteps towards our clay reclaim machine, the sounds of the plastic cover being taken off, the sound of the machine being turned on, and then finally my footsteps back to my phone.

Location: my kitchen

Sounds Heard: plastic container being moved, knife being picked up, food hitting tin foil, footsteps, tin foil rattling, tray sliding into metal rack, air fryer door opening and closing, buttons beeping, air fryer turning on, plastic being placed on the counter, sink turning on and water running.

  3. Medium Range: People chatting outside Hofusa, someone restocking the ice cream, bottles moving in the fridges
  4. Closest: People talking, bags rustling as people move around, loud footsteps and some running, some of the employees laughing and joking around together
  5. Sound Level: Not quiet, but not overwhelmingly loud
  6. Sound Activity: Busy and hurried, but also casual
  7. One Word: Welcoming
  8. Essential Sounds: Bags rustling, employees laughing and joking, ice cream restocking
