sounds heard: misc. chatter and laughter, chairs scraping ground, the water pressurizer from the starbucks barista, faint phone alarm
2:45pm // speigel theater SFAB open forum // April 28th.
Farthest away sounds — hum of the ebb and flow of traffic, the occasional siren, shuffling of speigel seats.
Medium sounds — clinking of bri’s dog’s collar, typing of Sfab rep computers.
Closest sounds — me adjusting in my chair, people talking behind me, professors answering questions, ice shifting in my plastic dunkin cup.
Sound level – mostly silent on the background noise except for the occasional shifting of people in audience or on stage. Focused in on the conversation and dialogue happening.
One word – productive
Most important sounds – the professors speaking, audience members speaking, typing of SFAB computers.

Sounds heard: counting of choreographer, shuffle of feet, high pitched ringing of tv above me, hum of playhouse air conditioner.

2- farthest away sounds – car driving by, ambulance siren, different car starting, honking, airplane above, hum of traffic on a nearby street
3- medium range – chorus of birds chirping, air conditioning whirl, rustling of bushes, distant voices from inside the house and the next door backyard, car alarm
4- closest sounds – my sniffles (allergy season is upon us), the tapping and swishing of my metal straw against the metal coffee cup, buzzing of bees, tapping of foot on bench
5- it is relatively noise provoking, considering its generally calm demeanor. Lot of random noises coming together to really create the soundscape.

sounds heard: hum of vent, placing of bathroom items on counter, sniffle, water running, closing and opening of medicine cabinet.

sounds heard: rustling of bed sheets, child screaming, car tires, airplane overhead, clanking of dishes downstairs.

Far sounds – hum of machines surrounding me, weights hitting floor downstairs, muffled conversations as people run by, feet hitting the track surrounding me
medium sounds – rhythmic hum of treadmills as people run, tv above me, music on radio in gym speakers, conversation behind me, pull of the paper towel machine
Close sounds – music pulsing in my headphones, water bottle clanking against the machine, the hit of my feet on the treadmill
Sound level – full of random clashing background noise, but overall medially mellow. Not too rambunctious.

Most important sounds — rhythmic hum of treadmills as people run, pull of the paper towel machine, weights hitting floor
CV Starr, lecture class
Sounds heard: typing, voices (both muffled and clear) from different areas of lecture hall, crinkling of bag, someone taking a bite of food, soft laughter.

Farthest sound- cars driving by on the turnpike, honking of said cars, construction truck backing up
Medium sounds- tumbling leaves, rustling of trees around me, brief conversations of people walking by, airplane overhead, lawn mower hum
Close sounds – music in my headphones, wind against the outside of my headphones, rushing of water from drinking of my water bottle, me swallowing, clanking of keys in my pocket, rustling of hands against my jacket
Sound level/amount – the sound levels of this spot ebbed and flowed, but on a general noise scale, there was rather nothing majorly apparent., but enough general background noise to take notice of.
One word – serene
Three most important noises –
- Wind against the outside of my headphones
- The rustling of the leaves
- Rustling of trees
Sounds heard: distant voices and laughter, plastic containers opening, rustling and clanking of items on the metal table, light breeze, birds chirping.
