Night Kitchen

  2. Farthest-Sounds of laughter from a different room. winds outside, The thud of doors closing different sections of the building, dimmed screech of a police siren or ambulance.
  3. Medium-Refrigerators running in vending machines, air conditioner, a buzz from the fluorescent lighting
  4. Closest-Butter sizzling on a heated pan, random clinks from the stove, me biting and chewing toast and scrambled eggs, me typing on the keyboard.
  5. Level and Activity-Low sound level as in it’s very quiet and any sound emitted can be heard throughout the room, but there’s a moderate amount of sound coming preventing total silence.
  6. Solitary
  7. Buzz of vending machines, sizzling butter, Police/ambulance siren.

far sounds- people talking, *beep* of the elevator reaching the main floor, laundry room door open/close

medium sounds- exit door open/close, footsteps

close sounds- *beep* of someone being accepted into the building, hum of the ventilation system above me, turnstile
