Journal Entry #2

Date: 2/22 11:15, backrooms of Bits and Bytes

Farthest away from me: The blender whirring at Red Mango

Medium range: People typing and talking in the next room

Closest to me: Two guys at the table next to me talking about their math homework

The sound level is just above a murmur. When the guys at the table stop talking, my surroundings are very quiet.

One word: Buzzing

3 essential sounds: Quiet chatter, typing, and the blender in the food area

Field Recording #1

Location: My Living Room

Sounds: Children’s songs (Super Simple Songs mix of humpty dumpty), My little brother playing with his blocks, then crashing his T-Rex into said blocks; he also has a cactus toy that can replay any sound it picks up and play it back at a higher pitch and speed (much to my chagrin), My little sister cooing and making small noises in the background.

Field Recording #1

Location : Hofstra USA

Sounds in Clip : Various levels of talking/chatter from various distances, phone dropping on table, bags being dropped on chair, hollow bottle being dropped on table, clanking and moving of chairs
