1. May 3rd at 1:50 pm at the Send Silence Packing Event on the quad
2. The sounds that are the furthest from me are people whisper and people walking.
3. The sounds at a medium range to me are people sniffling and birds chirping.
4. The sounds closest to me are two people talking to each other about the event and another person asking if I wanted a flier.
5. It is pretty peaceful at this event because it is her to commemorate the 1,100 students that commit suicide on college campuses every year. So people were respectful at kept the noise level at a minimum

– Me chewing thai calimari, the sound of chopsticks falling/clinking/rubbing together in the process of eating the calimari, the sound of my glass placed on the table, my friend talking to me, and the loud music playing Gotye “somebody that I used to know ” (which really makes me feel depressed about my breakup).

-Its a smaller room but I’m sitting in the less crowded eating area… still a loud busy sound level with a combo of talking and music and glasses.

Sounds Heard: Train, man behind me on the phone, people talking, someone sniffing, bags shuffling, rain
1. Phoenix house Chinese restaurant 5/2/12 8:30 pm
2. The sounds farthest away from me are food sizzling in a pan and a person chopping food.
3. The sounds at a medium range are the cash register opening and people ordering food and talking about the menu.
4. The sounds closest to me are the children of the owners speaking Chinese and running around.
5. The general sound level is loud.
6. I would describe the sound environment as “energetic”.
7. Three sounds essential to the sound environment are the food cooking, people ordering food, and the people talking in Chinese. The restaurant is like its own little world.

Sitting backstage at Measure For Measure rehearsal during Blackbird’s run
– Sit, close eyes and allow the sounds around you to envelope you, listen for all of the sound in your environment.
2- Lines, yelling on stage, heard both from the door as well as the intercom in the dressing rooms
3- Low conversations in the dressing room, Jesse doing his warmups nearby.
4- Air Conditioning unit above me, girl next to me turning pages as she reads
5- It’s all backstage voices. slight nervousness for the dress rehearsal, but certainly not the nervousness of a performance. The noise from the stage ranges with the emotion of the scene.
