  1. 3/3/17 8:30AM Friend’s Room in Vander Poel Hall
  2. Farthest-Rumble of a truck and other vehicles, the shutting of doors, wind from outside.
  3. Medium-My friend typing on her computer, the springs in her mattress when she moves, the heater.
  4. Closest-my breathe, my keyboard sounds, clinks from her mini fridge
  5. Both the sound level and sound activity are low.
  6. Solemn
  7. Heater, the rumble of cars, and my breathe

Sound Journal #5

  1. March 2, 2017. 9:18 p.m. – Playhouse Dressing Room
  2. Close Sounds: Conversations around me in the dressing room.
  3. Medium Sounds: Unintelligible din from the audience coming into the room through the loudspeaker.
  4. Far Sounds: People yelling outside in the hallway between the dressing rooms and the green room.
  5. Sound Level: High
  6. Environment: Noisy
  7. Three Essential Sounds: Intelligible conversation, unintelligible voices, yelling sounds

Wheezing

  1. March 2nd, 3:37, Bits & Bytes
  2. Far Sounds: Machines and generators coming back online after blackout
  3. Medium Sounds: All conversations ending after the lights flickered off and on
  4. Close Sounds: My computer humming loudly
  5. Sound Level: Deadened
  6. Environment: Chaotic and then subdued
  7. Essential Sounds: Loud and then silent people, generators coming back online, my laptop

Journal Entry

1- 2/28/2017 || 12:10-ish || Outside Calkins, looking for the Calkins cat

2- Cars zipping by on the roads surrounding.

3- The last few people filtering out of the Hamlet dress, walking back home or to their cars. Cars starting in the parking lot near Lowe and going away.

4- My own sniffling.

5- Very low, and very little.

6- Exhausted

7- My sniffling.
