  2. Sounds farthest from me: Plane overhead, cars on the turnpike, church bells
  3.  Sounds Medium distance from me: Buses on Oak Street, Somebody’s footsteps scuffing the snow behind me, phone ringing from inside Dutch Treats
  4.  Sounds Closest to me: My boots scuffing through the snow, wind whipping past my ears, my phone dinging

4:15 P.M. 3/3/2016. The Quad in front of Bits and Bites.

Closest: Cat meowing, stranger talking to cat, footsteps on concrete, people talking as they pass

Medium: Leaves rustling, wind blowing slightly

Far: More people talking, cars passing, car starting, doors closing

Sound level: Low

One word: Peaceful

Three sounds: Cat meowing, conversation with cat, leaves rustling

  2. Farthest: The washing machine running in the basement
  3. Medium: A T.V. playing sounds upstairs, my dog running up and down the stairs
  4. Closest: My mom on the phone, another T.V. running in the living room a few feet away from me
  5. Sound level: Loud

  7. 3 sounds: pounding of feet on stairs, talking, advertisements

  4. closest: loud chatter of classmates (the professor was 18 minutes late at this point), chairs scraping, backpacks zipping and unzipping, classroom door opening and closing as people slowly filter in, laughing

  7. three sounds: talking and laughing, chairs scraping, door opening and closing
