  2. Farthest: People in the hallway outside of the house doors chatting and walking in
  3. Medium: Audience members talking and laughing, getting ready for the show to begin
  4. Closest: My friends talking about the cast members and what they’ve heard about the show
  5. Sound level: loud
  6. One Word: chatty
  7. Three Words: talking, anticipation, laughter

  2. farthest away: cars on the secondary street and on my side street/cul-de-sac, wind against the roof and the trees
  3. medium distance: furnace running, pipes ticking (the system needs to be bled), house-mates talking animatedly upstairs, the printer is running, the toilet just flushed
  4. closest: the clock on the wall, coat swishing, gentle taps on my phone screen, Shane breathing and typing, creaking floorboards above me (more house-mates)
  5. general sound level: medium. amount of sound activity: intermittent

  2. Farthest: David’s voice talking to students in the basement of the playhouse, random chatter and laughter from the students
  3. Medium: The actors inside onstage performing their scenes
  4. Closest: The box office ladies selling tickets to various people coming in and out of the playhouse, the doors squeaking
  5. Level: Soft, Low noise
  6. One Word: Calm
  7. 3 sounds: squeaking doors, voices from inside the playhouse, laughter downstairs

Closest: Hofstra students talking, guy singing New York, New York and shaking a money jar

Medium: People talking and someone with the music on their headphone playing much too loud

Far: the roaring of the subway traveling on the tracks and the screeching of the breaks or when the subway turns corners.

Sound level: Loud

One word: Busy

Three sounds: People talking, guy singing, and subway tracks roaring.

February 24th. 6:58P.M. Lowe 106: Peer Gynt Rehearsal

Closest: People screaming, yelling, laughing, jumping around (loud thuds from hitting the floor hard)

Med: Wind through the window, people walking in socks, the door opening and closing

Far: Typing, clock ticking
