Outside in front of the Adam’s Playhouse 4/14/15 10:06pm
footsteps, girls laughing, girls talking, occasional wind, and clapping

- Farthest: David’s voice talking to students in the basement of the playhouse, random chatter and laughter from the students
- Medium: The actors inside onstage performing their scenes
- Closest: The box office ladies selling tickets to various people coming in and out of the playhouse, the doors squeaking
- Level: Soft, Low noise
- One Word: Calm
- 3 sounds: squeaking doors, voices from inside the playhouse, laughter downstairs
Location: Adams Playhouse, Wednesday February 17th, shortly after 8pm
Farthest: Keys clicking on a keyboard, pencil scratching
Medium: Jean, Maureen and Sam discussing script changes
Closest: Max leading the cast in a vocal warm up that involves them jumping around in circles repeating “Topeka Bodega”
Sound level: High
One word: Echo-y
Three sounds: Vocal warm up, script discussion, pencil scratching.

5. Sound levels are low right now, soon to be getting loud as students file into the theater for Richard

2. Farthest: Sampson and Brian talking on stage, drill coming from the shop
3. Medium: 55 students on break chatting
4. Closest: hum of the rack at FOH, sound effects in headphones
5. Sound levels are at a low level except in my headphones, fluctuating depending on what the 55 crew is doing
6. One word: Mumble

Location: Backstage in Adams Playhouse
Sounds Heard: You can faintly hear the sound of the tap dancers as they perform their routine onstage. They’re going through their number and their accompanying music is playing through the speakers behind them. You can hear everything faintly because I’m sitting behind the curtain backstage and that tends to block out the sound.

– The sound is a medium level and humming with anticipation for the show’s start.

2- The sound of Stephanie (Scenic Charge) joking with Beja stage right, Sampson’s footsteps across the raked stage, the sound of Roni flogging the unpainted fruit cart
3- Deanna talking to Anna while they paint the apron, the sound of a drill from under the extension, the chatters of the run crew as they prepare for rehearsal.
4- The sound of my finger fiddling with the trigger on the screw gun, my heart racing as I try not to mess up the “nugget” which I’m countersinking,
5- The sound level here is very high, as everyone is preparing for the open dress rehearsal. Everyone has a task, and they are all racing to finish the final touches.
