  1. 23 February, 2017; sitting in my car
  2. The rumble of cars on the turnpike, the airplanes in the sky
  3. the voices of the students walking to class, the engines of other cars
  4. the hum of my engine, the music coming out of my radio, my own breathing and heartbeat

5.)The sound level was slightly more than medium, as my music was on really low, and the lack of too many sounds meant the sudden clinking of the mugs stood out.

  6. Environment: Noisy
  7. Three Essential Sounds: Intelligible conversation, unintelligible voices, rolling wheels

Complete Works Rehearsal

Time/Location: 2-24-15, 8:30pm, Complete Works Rehearsal break time

Far sounds: people talking in drounge, Lowe main door closing

Medium sounds: Ali and Lisa talking, Tunisia and Heidi talking, Caitlin walking around

Close sounds: me eating my apple, my nose sniffling because I’m sick

Overall sound level: medium

Sound description: upbeat

3 essential sounds: people talking in drounge, cast members talking, Lowe door closing

  1. 2/23/17 10:51 PM Boyfriend’s house
  2. Farthest sound: traffic whooshing from the turnpike many blocks away, it sounds like wind. Horns honking occasionally.
  3. Medium sound: Alex moving clothes around and packing a bag for a trip. He’s now starting to play Playstation.
  4. Closest sound: Me typing. Breathing!
  5. It is very quiet
  6.  Calm
  7. “wind” and ambient traffic sounds, typing, lack of loud music that is normally present

Waiting at the Airport

  1. 2/22/17 @ 8:20AM, Boston Logan International Airport
  2. Farthest-An espresso machine at work, workers talking in a kitchen, quiet chatter all around, a bag falling, music and announcements overhead, a buzz of planes passing by.
  3. Medium-Someone zipping a bag, the crunch of plastic bags from people’s breakfasts, a man talking on the phone, someone flipping through a magazine, footsteps on the hard floored path (I can’t tell what it’s made out of), the beep of the ticket checking machine.
  4. Close-Women talking in a quiet voice, the lady behind me flipping the pages of a book, the sound of me typing, the sound of air being pushed out of the cushion when a man sat down, coughing
  5. The sound level is low, even though there is arguably a moderate amount of sound activity, most of it is low and for some reason does not echo well
  6. Sound Environment-‘Subdued’
  7. Most Essential-chatter all around, buzz of planes, music and announcements.
