–the distant echo of chatter coming from the student center
— steam spurting from the espresso machine
— coffee beans grinding in the coffee machine
— a stool scraping across the floor as someone gets up from their seat.
Location: My room, Hempstead
Sounds heard: typing on a laptop, clicking of mouse, swiping of mouse pad, rustling of blanket, breathing.
