- Farthest: I can hear the door opening on the other side of the wall with people walking through it.
- Medium: I can hear tables and chairs moving around
- Closest: The conversations and people talking very loudly.

- Three essential sounds for this environment are: people walking fast, the chairs moving around, the sound of people talking this is pretty much the easiest way to tell you’re in Bits
Outside Bits and Bites
Water dripping against the building, water dripping into a puddle, faint wind

- Farthest: Random chatter between the students at the window about their various lives and days
- Medium: The cash register lady asking a customer what item they ordered from the burger bar, two girls talking about how they are upset because the milkshake machine is broken, a student shaking their salad to mix it up
- Closest: A girl at the salad bar next to me telling the worker behind the bar what she wants in her salad, my own conversation with a friend behind me in line
- Sound Level: High, there were many people and a lot of conversations going on
- One word: Lively
- 3 words: conversation, cash register beeping, shaking salads
1. Thursday March 22 at 2pm – outside sitting on a table by Bits and Bites
2. The sounds furthest from me are the doors opening and closing to the entrance of bits and bites and people walking
3. The sounds at medium range from me are the girls talking at the table next to me.
4. The sounds that are closest to me are the birds chirping. I was also sitting with my friend, who was on the phone, so I heard her whole conversation as well.
5. The sounds were peaceful. I was pretty much centered on the birds chirping because it was a beautiful day. My friend was not talking too loud and the girls at the table next to us were talking relatively soft as well.
