4/28/24 – 1:54 PM- New Paltz UCAT UPL BUS.
1. Furthest sound- Sounds of cars whooshing by the window, running water from a lake.
2. Medium Sound- The sound of the engine of the bus roaring.
3. Closest Sound- “Closest sound? My ass talking your ear off” Meagan R., Meagan R. talking about the wicked movie, and the couple in front of us talking.
4. Sound Level and Activity- Loud! Meagan is Puerto Rican. Also loud when the bus is zooming down the road, but low when it stops! (and I don’t mean the bus)
5. Descriptor- Perfect.
6. Essential sounds: The most lovely voice in the world, bus, soft murmurs.
April 21st – 7:05- My living room
In this recording, you can hear the shifting of my phone, me, the TV in the living room on a nature documentary, and the babbling/screaming of my little sister
4/1/24 – 7:48 PM – My Bedroom
Sounds furthest away from me: Train passing by my window, Cars passing by out my window.
Sounds at a medium distance from me: Paw Patrol just beyond my wall and the sound of metal utensils hitting a plate.
Sounds closest to me: The sounds of the keyboard clacking, The fan on my PlayStation running.
The sound level is medium but my little brother starts getting invested in paw patrol he can start screaming so it can very well get louder.

February 23rd, 8:55 pm, Roti on the Run (Trini restaurant)
The closest sound to me is the woman making the food (the sound of the metal spoon hitting the metal tray) and the sounds of people talking.
The furthest sounds are the cars outside and the train passing overhead.
The medium sounds are the soca music and the fans in the place.
The level of sounds is high consistently with overlapping sounds throughout.
One Word: Home. Three sounds important to the environment is the clanking of Metal, the sounds of people talking, and Soca Music.

Sounds: Children’s songs (Super Simple Songs mix of humpty dumpty), My little brother playing with his blocks, then crashing his T-Rex into said blocks; he also has a cactus toy that can replay any sound it picks up and play it back at a higher pitch and speed (much to my chagrin), My little sister cooing and making small noises in the background.

The sounds that are closest to me is a child crying next to me and the train announcement.
The furthest sounds are the cars and trucks and music outside.
The medium distances, I would consider the shuffling and train itself, noises from peoples phones and high schoolers talking.
The sound level is loud and the amount of sounds being created is consistent until the High Schoolers got off.
