Someone speaking obnoxiously loudly in the hallway; they must be walking by because I can hear their voice grow louder, and then fade out.  It sounds like they (or someone they were walking with, perhaps) were swinging their keys back and forth, because I could hear a rhythmic jingling.

3- Identify and list the sounds at medium range from you.
One of my suite mates intermittently yelling and laughing extremely loudly at a television show or movie on her television or computer (which I can also hear, though faintly), another suite mate coughing.

4- Identify and list the sounds closest to you.
Jukebox the Ghost playing from my iPod dock, softly.  The steady drip, drip, drip from my heater into the garbage can placed under it as it hums, wheeze-like (I should really get that fixed…), the squeak of my bed as I shift position.

5- Describe the general sound level and amount of sound activity.
Medium level and activity.  It’s lower in my room, but it’s certainly higher in my suite mate’s room.

Manifold.

Rachelle yelling/laughing at her television, Jukebox the Ghost, and the hum of my heater.

The thumping of speakers playing a poppy, overplayed tune, people chattering

A chair scraping against the floor as someone pushes away from the table, a girl speaking loudly, braggingly about her grades in a glass, a boy talking to a girl about someone.

Highly active–loud.

This location was interesting to me because (even though they say they are) the rooms are definitely not sound proof, and you can hear others practicing, but when I was listening to the sounds closest to me, in my practice room, the other sounds seemed to disappear.

Indistinct piano music, Someone opening a door in the hallway, someone speaking unintelligibly

A locker closing, Two girls speaking, one saying something about how she “sounded very good.”

My fingers sliding up and down the piano keys (not pushing them down), my own breathing.

Medium to low.  Lower in my practice room, but more active in the hallway.

5)      It is low sound activity inside the actual laundry room, but outside its quite noisy

I can hear people in distant rooms speaking, a door closing.  There are footsteps in the hallway.

People outside the door reading a scene, laughing.  Someone coughing.

The sound of Max asleep on the couch, deep breaths with the occasional snore.  The sound of someone’s iPod headphones buzzing and the clacking of their fingers against a laptop keyboard.

Low activity, all sounds seem to be muffled except the snoring.

Calm
