  2. Farthest: The sound the elevator makes when it stops and opens on this floor, muffled voiced coming from the room across the hall from me

  2. Farthest: Cars passing by, flag rippling in the wind, clank of a chain on the flag pole
  3. Medium: Kids screaming and laughing on the playground, car door opening and closing
  4. Closest: wind roaring past my ears, rain drops slowly hitting the ground, the sound of my flip-flops

9:30A.M. 3/9/16. Lounge in my dorm.

Closest: Buzzing of freezer, shower dripping (slow, heavy drops), the sound of my typing

Med: Cars passing outside, wind, futon squeaking when I lean forward to type

Far: Footsteps in the hallway, low thuds (source unknown)

Sound level: Low

One word: Creepy

Driving with the Windows Down: Field Recording

Location: Parking lot, turning onto Hempstead Turnpike

Sounds Heard: Muffled sounds of the car starting, the windows being rolled down, clicking turn signal, switching from reverse to drive, wheel turning, tires against the pavement, other cars passing, wind
