This is the most obnoxious way possible to drink something out of a cup with a lid and a straw. You can hear the horrible noises of the straw moving in and out of the lid and terrible straw sipping.

1. March 29th ..In Dempster…Waiting outside my advisers office that is located by the news hub…At 1:05pm
2. The sounds furthest away from me are people roaming around the hall.
3. The sounds at medium range from me are the door swinging open to the news hub because someone just walked in and I heard the television coming from the news hub when the door was open.
4. The sounds closest to me are the two girls who just walked by me and the guy sitting next to me is typing loudly on his laptop.
5. The sound level is generally quiet and calm. People are making too much noise and there aren’t too many people around.
6. The sound environment is “motivating” because people seem to be doing school work or tasks
7. Three sounds that are essential to the environment are the two girls talking, the guy sitting next to be typing on his laptop, and the television coming from the news hub.

Sounds heard: Everyone is talking very loudly about our midterm that we are about to have, discussing what will be on it or what info we need to know. This goes on at this sound level for a while, then you hear people start to quiet down as Royston walks in, and someone asks about our research paper. He answers that we will talk about it on Tuesday.
