  1. My dorm room, Hofstra University, 8:50pm on February 9th, 2017
  2. My roommates chatting in the next room, the faint sound of “Magic Mike” from their TV
  3. The hum of my refrigerator, my roommate snoring in the bed on the other side of the room, the ding of my cellphone
  4. The sounds of chewing, the taps of the keys of my keyboard, my breathing
  5. The general sound level is faint
  6.  Comforting
  7. The TV, my keyboard, and my roommates chatter

1.  February 9, 2017 – Outside of Dutch Treats – 7:30 PM

2. Cars driving down a slick and icy road, sparse horns in the distance

3. My friends talking about what snacks they want to get before heading home, doors opening and closing

4. The wind howling, my sniffling, a few coughs

5. The sound level is low.

6. Casual

February 9, 2017- Outside on Front Street- 6:00

2) Farthest Away- I can hear snow plows and cars in the distance

3) Friends having a snowball fight in the driveway

4) I can hear the wind whizzing by my ears and my breath is heavy because it is cold.

5) Medium level but a lot of activity

6) Fun

7) The wind whizzing by, Friends yelling, and the plows in the distance

  3. Medium Sounds: The elevator dings to alert what floor we’re on.
  4. Far Sounds: The low hum of the elevator machinery operating.
  5. Sound Level: Medium
  6. Environment: Calm
  7. Three Essential Sounds: Conversation, dings, machinery

Far range- Radio playing overhead, people running, talking from those just arriving
Medium range- cardio machines, weights dropping
Close range- my own breathing, running playlist from my headphones
Fairly quiet
Peaceful
running, machines, music playing
