Inside the Liberty study room

2- Footsteps in the boys hall around the corner

3- Hum of vending machine, people were playing foosball very loudly but have now stopped.  TV in the lounge is on but not decipherable from this room.
4- Opera coming from the girl next to me’s headphones, soda next to me bubbling.
5- This sound environnent is strange because it’s full of sounds that are normally louder but aren’t right now, leaving myself feeling distant.  Chelsea (the girl in the room) is asleep, her headphones audible but not blaring loud.  The other sounds are coming from behind a closed door, so they are also barely there.
6- muffled.
7- Opera on the headphones, indecipherable TV, rattle of vending machines.

Colin Creegan and Sarah Mori talking about sports ( A topic I don’t understand)

A freshman playing harmonica (Your typical collage instrument to get all of the ladies, So I’m told)

Adam Patrick Seeman being impressed.

Somebody meowing (?)

People clapping for the freshman’s harmonica playing abilities

A typical night in Liberty Hall.

2012-02-24 2:40 AM in the study room in Liberty Hall

– Sit, close eyes and allow the sounds around you to envelope you, listen for all of the sound in your environment.

2- Cars on Oak St, Airplane.
3- Conversations in the lounge outside.
4- There is the sound of the heater as well as some sort of ultra high frequency whine that I cannot place a source for  – Perhaps the Fluorescents?
5-  There is almost no “activity” yet all of the noises ar very constant.  The heater isn’t loud, but its close proximity in the small room makes it the most dominant presence in this soundscape.  The unidentifiable whine is not as loud or as sharp as the whine from a television or old computer monitor, but is definitely noticeable, and once you pick up on it, it is hard to not be conscious of it.
6- ringing
7- Unidentifiable whine, heater, Conversations outside.
