Suite in Colonial Square- 12 AM – February 7th

  1. Farthest: I can hear my neighbors having a dulled conversation through the walls, my upstairs neighbors are walking through their room causing the sound of soft thuds above me. I also hear a the engine of a plane flying far far above me.
  2. Medium: I hear my hamster running around my suite in her ball and occasionally slamming into something and my suite mates having a dulled conversation through the wall by my bed.
  3. Closest: I hear my rooms air conditioner humming next to me with the occasional click of an object that fell into it awhile ago.
  4. There is a very low general sound level with quiet sporadic activity.
  5. Relaxed
  6. The three essential sounds for this environment are: The humming/clinking of the air conditioner, the dulled voices of my suite mates, and my upstairs neighbors footsteps. These three sounds sum up dorm life.
