My friends and I (Brennan, Tori, Arianna, and Dianté) sitting in the Bread Box (Brennan’s car) in the parking garage of Roosevelt Field Mall on the evening of Free Pretzel Day at Auntie Anne’s. I intended to record just the sounds of the parking garage, but a spider had entered the car and landed on me and Brennan lost it. Tori is cracking up, Arianna is wondering if I had started recording yet, and Dianté is jamming to music.

Field Recording #5
Location: On a field that is between the Field Hockey Field and the parking lot with the Three Bears Statue.
Sounds: I found a very large stick that I used to cut the air with several times, sometimes I would even hit the ground and a thud like sound would be made. The stick did unfortunately break in the middle of the recording, so it quickly evolved into me breaking it several times, making crisp cracking noises like I was breaking into a walnut, all before the overall sound is engulfed by the wind.
Field Recording 5-Juliana Battaglia
Location: Inwood Park on a Thursday afternoon.
Sounds: Birds chirping, the wind blowing, people chatting, footsteps of people running. The sound of the trees rustling. The whistling of a bell of a bicycle.
