Farthest: The creaking from the floors from the stage and aisle, The doors opening and closing.
Medium: People performing and Hosts talking, Clicking from the computer keyboard and/or mouse, chatter from the audience.
Closest: People breathing, Seats moving, creaking, and squeaking, Whispering.
Sound Level/Activity: The level of sound changes depending on what’s happening, if we’re in between acts the level is higher, and if we’re in the middle of an act the level is lower. Switching. Feels both controlled and uncontrolled.
Description: Cabaret.
Essential: Hosts and/or Performers from the stage, Chatter, Floor creaking.

3/7/24 – 8:15PM – Pride Den

Sounds farthest from me: people on the other side of the room talking, utensils clacking together, chairs moving
Sounds at a medium range from me: The backing tracks of the song being performed, the percussion instruments, people snapping during the performance, piano
Sounds closest to me: the performer singing, my friends whispering next to me, the bass line, the applause
Sound level and sound activity: the sound level is relatively high due to the speakers projecting the instruments but also the performer’s voice. The sound activity is high because there are a lot of people in the room making noise i.e. the singing, playing instruments, talking, clapping. There is a lot happening at once.
One word description: Musical

Sounds Farthest Away: Trash being thrown away, mild footsteps.

Sounds Medium Range: People chatting at tables, shuffling of feet.

Sounds Close Range: People performing, people laughing, TV blaring.

The general sound level is high, large level of sound activity.

One-word Description: Raucous.
