  2. Sounds farthest: people browsing bookshelves, opening and closing of books
  3. Sounds at medium range: announcements over intercom, whirring of escalators
  4. Sounds closest: internal thoughts,  people quietly talking, younger children babbling
  5. Level of sound activity: generally quiet, resulting in a welcoming atmosphere
  6. Calm
  7. people browsing bookshelves, opening and closing of books and the people quietly talking
