- Sounds farthest away: People talking on TV, music from TV
- Sounds at medium range: Stepfather commenting/reacting to Olympics on TV
- Sounds closest: Mother preparing something in the microwave, opening of the fridge door, beeping of the toaster
- General sound level: A lot of sound activity, but fairly quiet between my mother and I. Meanwhile, my stepfather is a bit loud as he was speaking from another room
