1. 4/12/15, 5:45pm, LIRR train to Mineola

2. Farthest: Conductor clipping tickets and asking for tickets, a group of teenage girls talking about a concert

3. Medium: A couple making out, older lady talking on the phone, doors opening and closing at stop

4. Nearest: Flipping pages of my book, train rattling, text tones from person in front of me

5. Sound levels are at a medium level and dwindling as people get off at their stop

6. One word: Bustling

7. 3  Sounds:

  • Train rattling
  • Tickets being clipped
  • Conversations

2. Farthest: Cars driving by on the the highway, wind

3. Medium: Max and Rebecca sleeping in the back seat

4. Nearest: Tanner talking, Toxic Avenger playing through the speakers, Waze giving directions

5. Sound levels are at a constant low medium level

6. One word: Monotonous

7. 3 Sounds:

  • Show tunes
  • Light snoring in back seat
  • Cars driving by

2. Farthest: People talking in lobby

3. Medium: Phone buzzing, Peter calling my name

4. Closest: GOTTEM band playing onstage with drums, two guitars, bass, and vocals

5. Sound levels are extremely loud, a lot of feedback from speakers

6. One word: Excruciating

7. 3 Sounds:

  • People talking
  • Phone call
  • Loud guitar feeding back

2. Farthest: Brian walking on stage and chatting

3. Medium: Students chattering in the lobby as well as walking, teachers giving instructions

4. Nearest: Hum of sound board and sapphire rack, typing on my computer, chatter on headset

5. Sound levels are low right now, soon to be getting loud as students file into the theater for Richard

6. One word: anticipation

7. 3 Sounds:

  • Headset
  • Rumble of students
  • Footsteps

2. Farthest: Sampson and Brian talking on stage, drill coming from the shop

3. Medium: 55 students on break chatting

4. Closest: hum of the rack at FOH, sound effects in headphones

5. Sound levels are at a low level except in my headphones, fluctuating depending on what the 55 crew is doing

6. One word: Mumble

7. 3 Sounds:

  • Chatter
  • Hum
  • Chain effect in headphones
