4)   Seats moving, footsteps both high heels and regular sneakers, close chatter, there is a even louder humming behind me from some machine, the noise from a vibration as someone got a text at the end of the table, rustling of food containers, the sound of eating food, the sound of drinking from a straw, and rustling of clothing.

5)   The general sound level is pretty high and loud.  The sound activity is also a lot and very active.

Jounal Entry #6

3/9/11, Colony Diner, 11:00 pm

The sound furthest away from my position in the sound environment are the clatter of dishes from the kitchen of the diner.
The sounds of medium distance from me in the sound environment are male and female voices of wait staff and other customers and the banging and clanging of cups and silverware on tables surrounding us.
The sound closest to me is Conor Burke’s voice.
The general sound level is fairly relaxed with many sounds in the environment but none in particular at an astonishing high or overwhelming level. The amount of sound activity is great.
The sound activity can be described as hurried.
The three sounds essential to this sound environment are male/female voices, the clatter of silverware, and the clatter of dishes.
