Farthest Noises: People’s voices in other rooms, the elevators moving.

Medium Noises: Elevator doors, doors opening and closing, the frat down the hall’s bad music, the frat down the hall screaming, the frat down the hall’s door slamming, the frat down the hall laughing.
Closest Noises: My breathing, my typing.

 

General sounds: Loud

Environment: Drunk

3 Noises: Bad music, loud voices, doors slamming.

1- 10:15 at the Spiegel Theater on 4/4/2012

2- sound of cars and footsteps in the distance. A plane in the air

3- People talking in a small group near the Spiegel Gate doors opening and closing.

4- Laughter, talking, a tree rustling the wind.

5- Active sound, frequent, but not loud.

Sound Observation 9 – Witches Brew Cafe

2- Identify and list the sounds farthest away from you.

–  The sound of jazzy celtic music in the background, chitter chatter of people talking softly

3- Identify and list the sounds at medium range from you

– People talking, tea cups/mugs being picked up and put down

4- Identify and list the sounds closest to you.

– My MOM 🙂  !!!!, tea pouring out of tea kettle, tea sipped/slurped from tea cup, scraping of a spoon against a little tin kettle of honey for the tea, low nom-nom sound of a scone being eaten, my breath as I become more full.

5- Describe the general sound level and amount of sound activity.

– Very low level of sound including people chattering, and very relaxed environment with calming music at the perfect volume
