1) 3/31/11-7:45 p.m.-Multipurpose Room East in the Student Center during the closing of a discussion sponsored by the Hofstra MSA
2) Overhead lights buzzing, people talking while passing by the doorway, video playing in the Multipurpose Room West, cardboard pizza boxes closing on a table in the back room, and a garbage can opening and closing were the furthest audible sounds.
3) Person snapping gum, pen tapping and clicking, speaker talking, shoes tapping, notebook page turning, zip of coat, clearing throat, coughing, plastic bag rustling, and folding chairs squeaking would qualify as medium range sounds.
4) My coat rustling, a tiny plastic cup cracking in my hand, and a quick breath while I was yawning would be considered sounds closest to me.
5) The sound level was moderate. The sound activity was high because people were getting restless as the discussion was wrapping up, so people began moving more and cleaning up the room.
