- Cars outside driving by, the wind, & music playing in the backroom.
- Door opening/closing, doorbell, car door slamming, & car starting.

- The sound level is low and relaxed. There were no sounds that were loud and ear-piercing. The amount of sound activity was moderate since there were sounds happening at the same time, but could still be pointed out.

1. Date: 4/3/20 – Time: 3:00pm – Location: My Bedroom
2. Farthest away from me, I can hear noises coming from the television downstairs and my mother laughing. I can hear my little sister as she is constantly laughing too.
3. In a medium range, I hear cars driving past my house outside and noises coming from the television in my bedroom. I also hear music coming from my portable speaker.
4. Closest to me, I hear my fingers typing on my keyboard and air being blown out of my laptop. Internally, I can hear words of encouragement as I am working on an assignment.
5. The general sound level is rather noisy than quiet due to a good amount of sound activity being present.

- Cars driving by outside, car honks & wind outside.
- Door opening/closing, car beep from locking it, & music playing in the back room.
- Meat sizzling, oven beeping, workers talking, paper to-go bags opening, & food containers opening/closing.
- The sound level was quite low since Chipotle is only take-out and no customers were inside. The amount of sound activity was high since all the workers were preparing food orders.

Farthest Sound- The shower from the master bedroom going off a few rooms over, and the dishes being washed in the kitchen.
Medium Distance- The washer and dryer going off and one of my roommates folding them and putting them away.
Closest Distance- My music playing as I work on my homework and the typing on my computer, the wind is also blowing quite against my window making a whistling sound.
Sound Description- Hectic and busy
Important Sounds- The shower, the washer and dryer, my music, and the dishes.

- The closest sound from me is my phone playing music next to me.
- The general sound level is more loud and the amount of sound activity is a lot since the sounds are loud enough to cause a ruckus.

- 3 things that are essential to the “sound environment” is my mom talking downstairs, my sister playing the piano and singing, and my phone playing music.
Journal Entry #8 – Ferguson
1. Date: 3/22/20 – Time: 12:00pm – Location: Estabrook Parking Lot
2. Farthest away from me, I can hear other students and their parents talking to each other, and their car trunks being closed. I can also hear the wheels of their bins being dragged along the concrete.
3. In a medium range, I can hear my parents talking about wearing masks and gloves before entering the building. Moreover, I can hear the trunk of our car being slowly opened.
4. Closest to me, I can hear the footsteps of both myself and my mother, as well as me complaining that the mask is causing my glasses to fog. I can hear the wheels of my bin dragging along the concrete as I pull it.
5. The general sound level is a bit noisy due to the bins being pushed/pulled along the concrete. Other than this, there is not much sound activity taking place.
6. One word to describe the “sound environment” is “peaceful”.
7. Three sound that are essential to the “sound environment” are the bins being pushed/pulled along the concrete, my complaints about my glasses being fogged, and my parents talking to each other.
