Location:Outside of Sunoco on Hempstead Turnpike

Sounds Heard: Cars passing by from the turnpike next to the station, car engines being started, cars pulling in and out of the gas station, commercial for coffee playing on gas pump, gas pump handles clicking, people talking in the background, music from cars pulling in, gas pump automatic stopping, beeping of cars alarms, car doors opening and closing

 

1st Journal Entry

1- Date, Time, Location: 2/6/26. 7:00pm. Mama Lombardi’s restaurant. Holbrook, NY

2- Far Range– Plates clattering in the kitchen, cutlery clattering into buckets, man yelling in italian, kitchen door being swung open

Medium Rage– Jazz music being played, Other tables talking indistinguishably, order being taken from a table, plates being placed onto a table, wooden chairs scraping against the wooden floor, footsteps with different shoes types walking across the floor

Close Rage– Fork scraping against plate, Family talking about phone bills, Glasses being picked up and drank from, glasses case being open and closed

General sound level– There is a large amount of sound. Constant talking and buzzing of people.
